Lay Pastoral Associate
We are excited to announce that Orvin Lao has been appointed Lay Pastoral Associate and will be providing Sunday morning worship leadership at St. George beginning August 13th. Orvin is currently a postulant in the Diocese of Toronto, the first step towards becoming a priest in the Diocese. He is a recent graduate of Wycliffe College, having obtained a Master of Divinity degree.
Orvin moved to Toronto in 2001 from his home city, Manila, Philippines. Besides his love of and aspiration for church ministry, service, and mission, he keeps busy with his photography business, specializing in wedding photography, and his contract work doing construction and labour.
Some of you may know Orvin as he has attended worship services at St. George from time to time in the past. He is delighted to be joining the worship team at St. George and looks forward to connecting with the members of our congregation.
